More on Michael-David Vineyards

Over on Carolyn Tillie's wine blog she's got a nice review of some of the other wines done by Michael-David Vineyards. That's the winery that does the "7 Deadly Zins" I posted about earlier. Her review includes a mention of the 2003 7 Deadly Zins. Looks like I'll need to make another trip over to World Market to see if some of that vintage has come in.

Did you make it to their storefront when you were in Lodi? I love the grocery store / farmer's market / wine tasting combination.

No, and I'm kicking myself for not checking it out. In fact, I drove down highway 12 to the 12/5 intersection and turned around and went right by it! (See map here: http://www.lodiwines.com/map.htm) I ended up turning into the Van Ruiten winery just up the road a bit more. (I still have the Cabernet I bought there waiting on the rack.) I perhaps wrongly concluded that since I'd just had some 7 Deadly Zins the night before in Sacramento, I should try some new places.
